Lightning cable needs pressure to plug into the lightning port

I bought a new ipad pad air 2 and pluging and unpluging the cord is not as easy as on my iphone 6. It's not so hard either but I was wondering if this could affect the longevity of the port in the longrun.

Does anyone else have a similar problem?
